Asaf Nagler, Director for Operations and Government Strategy

Mr. Nagler most recently served at the U.S. Department of Energy as Chief of Staff to Under Secretary Kristina Johnson. In this role, Mr. Nagler was the top political and strategic advisor to Dr. Johnson and was responsible for designing and managing the operations of the Office of the Under Secretary of Energy. Mr. Nagler's duties included coordinating the activities of the Office of the Under Secretary with the White House, other Administrative agencies, and Congress. In addition to assisting Dr. Johnson oversee the strategic planning, budgeting and coordination of the Energy and Environment programs at the Department, Mr. Nagler was integral in launching the Administration's Energy Regional Innovation Cluster (E-RIC), the Department's first ever Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase III Xlerator program, and the Administration's Start-up America initiative.

Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Mr. Nagler served as Deputy Associate Counsel at the White House and as Director of Research in Alaska for the Obama Campaign. Before joining the public sector, Mr. Nagler practiced business and commercial law.

Mr. Nagler received his B.A from Colgate University and his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
